The Champlain SCREEN program is excited to present a Cultural Competency workshop for Health Care providers:

Beyond the Blink: How to Access Specific Cultural Information We Need for our Clients

Workshop Goal: The purpose of this 2.5-hour workshop is to explore and practice how to acquire the specific knowledge we require about our immigrant clients and patients by using Cultural Informants and other strategies. This is a hands-on workshop so it will not be available by OTN or webinar.

Workshop Content: We have invited Cultural Informants from various countries to participate. The format will be interactive and dynamic.

Learner-centred activities include: small group discussions, custom designed interactive case studies, and communication exercises.  The workshop will be facilitated by Nancy Mark, Cross-Cultural Competency Specialist.
