Sector Table Initiatives

To address the strategic priorities set out in the Ottawa Immigration Strategy (OIS), OLIP partners work together to develop and implement initiatives in five sectoral areas: 1) Economic Integration; 2) Health and Wellbeing; 3) Education; 4) Language Training and Interpretation  Supports; and 5) Socio-civic Integration. These Sector Tables lead initiatives within each of their respective areas. They collectively identify feasible ideas that advance the priorities outlined in the OIS, engage partners to develop proposals and secure funding, track progress, and address challenges that arise. While each Sector Table has a specialized mandate, intersectoral collaboration is encouraged to tackle interconnected integration challenges.
