In our city’s history, immigrants have always played an important role. They build our economic prosperity, diversify our culture, contribute to our social vitality.
Forum Participant discussions on how to Improve the Settlement and Integration Outcomes of Immigrants
August 21, 2015Forum participants – in small groups of 10 persons – reflected on the context and the way forward for creating a more welcoming and inclusive Ottawa. The discussions centered on two broad questions:
- “What do you think are the most important things Ottawa should focus on to make our City more welcoming?” and
- “Where do you think we can achieve the most progress if we act together?”
Each small table was then asked to summarize and present their ideas to a plenary of Forum attendees. A rich discussion full of good ideas ensued.
