Cohen Langerak, Senior Business Consultant at the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade, provided the 2nd keynote speech of the Forum. Cohen’s speech focused on leveraging immigrants’ global connections to strengthen Ontario’s economic development, based on emerging growing realization that there is a real correlation between Immigration in Ontario and the provinces international trade balance.

The speech concluded by explaining that while there is no “silver bullet” approach to unlocking the potential economic contribution of Ontario’s diaspora networks, the province is committed to finding effective ways to nurture and leverage this asset.
