Welcoming Ottawa: Current Action on the Ottawa Immigration Strategy

The opening of the first annual Ottawa Immigration Forum recognized the significance of immigration to Ottawa’s continued growth and prosperity, while celebrating our city’s diversity, cultural vibrancy, and hospitality. The session was also an opportunity to take stock of the work that OLIP is doing to promote immigrant integration.

OLIP Chair Dick Stewart and Vice- Chair Salimatou Diallo extended welcoming remarks to Forum participants and presented a brief sketch of OLIP partners’ achievements in the first year of action on the Ottawa Immigration Strategy (OIS).
