Digital Equity Ottawa is part of the Ottawa Neighbourhood Equity Index. This tool assesses and compares unfair differences at the neighborhood level that impact well-being. It provides a snapshot of the digital divide in Ottawa. It shows that the non-profit sector in Ottawa faces its own digital divide. This includes issues with hardware, software, helpdesk support, and a skills gap in some agencies. To serve residents effectively, the non-profit sector needs to assess its own digital health and keep up with evolving needs.
