The number of skilled immigrants born outside Canada is growing quickly. However, finding a job that matches their skills, knowledge, and experience is difficult. The purpose of this paper is to understand how skilled immigrants feel about their health and social status when they work in low-skilled jobs in the service sector in Ottawa, Canada.
