All cross-sectional and longitudinal quantitative studies that looked at the links between acculturation and oral health status or behaviors in ethnic minority and immigrant populations were included. Two researchers worked together on study selection, data extraction, and risk of bias assessment. The Newcastle-Ottawa checklist was used to evaluate the quality of the quantitative studies.
