Mothers’ views and concerns about their child’s weight were assessed using figure rating scales and the Child Feeding Questionnaire. Participants’ weights and heights were measured and compared to World Health Organization references. Children’s dietary intakes were estimated with a 24-hour dietary recall. The quality of children’s diets was evaluated by looking at the proportion of energy intake from ultra-processed foods, identified using the NOVA classification. Chi-square tests, multivariate logistic regressions, and t-tests were performed.
