Since the end of the 20th century, Francophone migration to Ontario has changed. Large flows from Quebec and other Canadian provinces are being replaced by those from abroad. Some experts view this as the end of an era, while others emphasize Quebec’s ongoing role in Ontario’s Francophonie. Using Canadian census data from 1991 to 2016, we examine these changes in Francophone migration to Ontario.
