Socio-Civic Integration Sector Table
Establishing shared priorities, collaborating on initiatives to respond to challenges, and engaging leadership to promote progress and impact.

Priorities
The Socio-Civic Integration Sector Table empowers immigrants for civic and political engagement. Youth is its focus. The table uses media to promote welcoming communities and inclusion. The work involves knowledge creation, leadership, public education, and building connections between newcomers and the Canadian population.
Create opportunities for immigrants and established residents to connect socially, culturally, and intellectually.
Strengthen the participation of immigrants and racialized communities in civil society and institutions. This includes voting and voicing concerns.
Increase the capacity of mainstream organizations to include and support immigrants.
Improve settlement counsellors’ ability to provide newcomers with information, referral, and orientation.
