“Effect of testing strategies on uptake of HIV/AIDS services in populations at high
risk of exposure to HIV”

The Public Health Agency of Canada estimates around 25% of people living with HIV in Canada don’t know they are infected. This multicultural community café will explore the effectiveness of different HIV testing approaches. We welcome a diverse audience of academics, policy makers, medical experts, medical students, persons who use IV drugs and community leaders, including those from those countries where HIV is endemic, to join this important conversation on the health and well-being of groups at high risk for HIV exposure in Ottawa.

Moderator:

  • Louisa Taylor, Journalist

Experts:

  • University of Ottawa, Dr Mark Tyndall, Head Infectious Diseases,
