The Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks seeks to increase awareness of the importance of language in the settlement process and to promote the use of Canadian Language Benchmarks and les niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens as national standards. CCLB will invite immigrants, employers, settlement workers to share any experiences in the settlement process where language played a part. These could be funny, serious, happy or sad. The entries could be stories, poems, pictures, video, posters or any other format. Prizes will be awarded to three winning entries and exhibits will be displayed during WOW week with prizes awarded at a ceremony on June 25 at CCLB.
