The City for All Women Initiative (CAWI) is organizing a forum to bring all concerned community members and stakeholders together to address the issue of systemic anti-Black racism in our city in an informed, constructive, and collaborative way. In this three hour session, we will explore the impact of systemic anti-Black racism on Canada’s diverse Black communities within the criminal justice system, education, and social services.

In table discussions, we will connect with a variety of subject matter experts, explore the intersecting identities of Ottawa’s diverse Black community members, learn about initiatives underway to address systemic anti-Black racism within Canadian institutions, and explore actions we can all take to address this problem in our city.
