Join us for a LIVE PREVIEW of the next edition of the City Builder Book Club – a guided reading and global discussion of Doug Saunders’ Arrival City.
Venue: Bloor/Gladstone Library, 1101 Bloor St West, Toronto, Canada

Canadian journalist and Arrival City: The Final Migration and Our Next World author DOUG SAUNDERS will lay the basis for the conversation, sharing insight into his book and introducing key patterns and themes of the global urban migration.

Activist, researcher, and HIGHRISE film collaborator EMILY PARADIS will show clips from the NFB documentary film HIGHRISE, situating the conversation in specific place-based narratives of migration.

Team Lead for Neighbourhoods in United Way Toronto’s Community Impact Department ALINA CHATTERJEE will moderate the discussion and weave in local community and economic development perspectives emerging from the Toronto context, steering a productive conversation about the arrival city as it manifests both here in Toronto and abroad.
