Citizens Academy introduces its
‘CIVICS BOOT CAMP’

How to make a difference at City Hall? Who to talk to? How does it all work?

Everyone has something they wish they could change about their everyday environment. Our everyday lives are most affected by local civic and political culture.

Civics Bootcamp is an interactive and practical 4 week program, one evening per week that will engage participants in topics of goverance, municipal budgeting and land-use planning.

As a participant, you will LEARN the basics of:
+ how to navigate city hall and its decision-making process
+ how to understand and influence where the city spends its money
+ how to have a say when the city is planning for development
+ fresh perspectives on ways to interact with elected officials, city staff,
community associations and other civic groups

Workshop Dates: OCTOBER 17, OCTOBER 22, OCTOBER 29, NOVEMBER 5 & NOVEMBER 19

Time: 5:30pm to 9:00pm

Cost: Absolutely FREE to participate!  Transportation & Dependent Stipends Available
