The Case for LGBT Workplace Inclusion

Presented by the Career Development Centre of the University of Ottawa, in collaboration with the Human Rights Office and Human Resources. Come meet Colin Druham- Executive Director, Pride at Work Canada.  This session will help you understand:

 –          Generally accepted terminology to use when speaking and writing about people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, including initials such as ‘LGBT’;

–          Relevant legislation regarding workplace protections for LGBT workers in Canada;

–          The business case for making LGBT inclusion a part of every diversity and inclusion strategy;

–          How Pride at Work Canada measures inclusive workplaces.
