By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

1) Reflect on and identify common attitudes of Canadian society towards refugee communities
2) Describe how cultural context shapes the experience of
trauma, fosters resilience, and facilitates recovery at the
individual and community level among Syrian refugees
3) Apply the Cultural Formulation and Cultural Formulation Interview to assess patients from diverse backgrounds
4) Integrate principles of cultural competence, cultural safety and trauma-informed care for diverse populations
