The second Ottawa Immigration Strategy (OIS) was endorsed by OLIP partners in 2016. Serving as a vision, framework, and roadmap, the OIS outlines how Ottawa can continue building a more welcoming city—one that values diversity and harnesses its talents and resources to support the successful integration of newcomers. This strategy builds upon the first OIS, released in June 2011 following extensive consultations with a wide range of Ottawa-based institutions and stakeholders.
