Every year, refugees arrive in Ottawa, but the number of Syrians who arrived in a short time was exceptional. Many agencies and organizations from different sectors helped welcome and settle the Syrian refugees. The settlement sector was key, but it was not alone; housing, education, employment, health, and all three levels of government were involved. Partnerships and collaborations formed among these groups, including both established tables and new relationships.
