The Humans for Peace Institution is proud to work hard to strengthen the relationship between newcomers and Indigenous peoples in the capital region. As part of this event, a group of Syrian children who raised $2,500 to help the Inuit children in Ottawa will visit the Ottawa Inuit Children’s Centre to celebrate both National Indigenous Day: June 21(#NIPDCanada) and World Refugee Day: June 20 (#WorldRefugeeDay). The Syrian newcomers will sing songs, play games, and hand over their cheque to support the Ottawa Inuit Children’s Centre.
