This event reunites different cultures and origins in a similar manner to the fictional country of “Wakanda”, from the Black Panther movie. It unites participants in the Youth Futures program, as well as immigrants and citizens to help them experience a piece of Canadian culture, while integrating their own through activities that facilitate integration. “Wakanda” signifies a blend of cultures to shed light on the beauty of diversity which is a crucial part of Canadian culture. The event incorporates sports, arts and culture. It includes a sort of Olympic scavenger hunt, where people will represent their countries and accomplish activities or tasks in one area in order to proceed to another one, along with a film viewing. The event is open to all at the University of Ottawa.
